Whether it began as a marketing ploy to sell chocolate, flowers or wine, Valentine’s Day has become a national and international day in celebration of love. Some opt to show it anonymously, others with open passion and romance, but no matter which route you chose showing love can be in the form of gratitude. Your local barista, grocery store cashier or bank teller are great people to start off with, followed by your furry, feathery or finned friend. Don’t forget the people you have a relationship with like your family, your BFF or even your ex. Sometimes you even have a neighborly ‘angel’, someone who wheels the trash cans back for you, picks up leaves or holds mail for you till you come back.
